{deco flora webset}

Hello! I'm so happy that finally the Deco Flora webset is up today! I got a small accident that crushed my right finger tip sometime ago - that gave me a bit of difficulty to draw, let alone to hold the computer mouse or to type on the keyboard!

It's getting better now and you see I managed to finish drawing the Deco Flora set :o)

This collection contains over 200 background tiles (variations from 15 hues) + 169 graphics including cliparts, web-stuff, signboards, quilts, banners, etc. The set is divided in several pages each with different layout that you can copy.

If you're member you can find the set in the member area. If not, the set is also sold individually for $4.

Here are some more screen shots:

{scrapbooking sunday: choco-dots freebie}

Can you believe it - I still can't manage to finish revamping amretasgraphics.com :(

There are so many details, new stuff, changes here changes there, uploads and downloads, checking this and checking that...whou, but I do hope that all will be ready in July. I'm working really hard here...thanks for bearing with me ;-)

And while waiting...here's a new freebie, a sneakpeek to what's new on amretasgraphics.com when it's ready: Choco-dots scrapbooking kit. The idea came two weeks ago when I wanted to scrapbook with photos of my nephew, baby Attila who was 6 week old at that time (now he's 2 months old). My sister, Attila's mom, is a choco-holic so I thought something chocolate-related would be perfect :o)

Also only two weeks ago I came across the cutest site on the web where you can find the cutest fonts: kevinandamanda.com. Fantastic! And you see I use their fonts for the scrapbooking kit as well, I couldn't help it, you know, the fonts are just oh so cute!

Anyway here's where you can download the Choco dots kit. I divided the kit into three zip files for easier download. Oh yeah, how could I forget this: the Choco dots kit contains 4 digital papers, 2 frames, 9 embellishments, 2 tags, and a set of alphabets. The font I used for the alphabet is 'A Little Pot' from kevinandamanda.com/fonts. Feel free to use the kit for your personal projects. Please note that this free kit is NOT for commercial use. If you use the kit (or parts of the kit) for blogging or website, please put a link back to www.amretasgraphics.com or to this post, so that your friends can get this freebie as well! Wouldn't that be nice? *winkwink* Thank you sweet friends! :o)

Right-click and 'save as' to download:

Choco-dots digital papers (17 MB)
Choco-dots frames, embellishments & tags (9 MB)
Choco-dots alphabets & numbers (15 MB)

And here's sample layout using the choco-dots kit - and of course with my little Attila in the picture, I am a super proud auntie, hehehe.

{mr bach and new desktop wallpapers}

Being sick and having to stay at home when I was supposed to have fun practicing with the amateur chamber music ensemble...was not really nice, of course. But the flu was pretty bad, and I really had to rest hoping to get better really soon.

Turned my attention to Violinist.com. They have an interesting weekend vote this time: "Have you played some J.S. Bach today?" I have! I have! Mr Bach's work has been in my list every morning, whenever I'm home. There were times I didn't touch them, but since I'm back to the ensemble, it's Mr Bach before breakfast, as much as I can!

And why? Laurie Niles, the editor of Violinist.com has the answer:

"A short and simple list of reasons: It never gets tired, it never gets old, it's exercise for the fingers, it's yoga for the soul."

And somehow I got inspired to make these desktop wallpapers to remind myself of the daily Bach habit. Feel free to download them if you like :o)

{happy bear prints 2009}

Yippie! My first graphic artwork in 2009!!

For some of you who have been here several times probably know I've been looking ways to make the bigger version of my graphics without 'destroying' the handmade feeling. And then these past few weeks I've been cleaning up and redecorating my room and wanted to display some of my own creation. I was pretty pleased with the Live Love Laugh print series...but I was still dreaming of having some prints of my existing websets. So, after another series of trial and error, finally the "Eureka!" moment came last night. Photoshop is genius. After rescaling and spattering, my graphics were turned into crayon like drawings, and my bears still look cute and fuzzy :o)

To celebrate this, these first rose bear prints are free for everyone to download (pdf format). They come in two sizes, A4 and Letter, each of them. Probably I will call them "Happy Bear Prints". For the moments, there are only two prints with saying. "Happiness lives here" and "Le bonheur habite ici". It depends if some of you are interested in having the prints with the same saying in other languages, I might make ones too. Your comments are appreciated.

To download the prints (pdf files), right-click on DOWNLOAD below each preview and 'save target as'.

{rearrangement continued}

Sunday! And I'm so excited today about cleaning up and rearranging my room...what else :-) I will get some help from my aunt and cousins {thankful for my family}. It's been sometime since I moved all my belongings from the flooded house to where I live now, and my aunt and I tried to find a weekend where both of us are free the whole day. So last week we decided it's today.

And came an sms from the cellist of our chamber orchestra: "tomorrow rehearsal at 2 p.m."

Oh no.

I explained to her the situation, the plan, the ship-wreck-looked room I'm now (oh, not that bad, actually!), that I desperately needed a peaceful Sunday for a joyful housework...

I always knew our cellist is a super nice one. She replied with "ok, see you next week then?"

It was almost midnight. I smiled and was ready to go to bed for a restful sleep before the big Sunday. When suddenly my cellphone once again gave a blink. A text coming in. From my pianist, our conductor: "don't forget tomorrow rehearsal at 2 p.m."

What should I say? :-D

Anyway, I'm ready for the big clean-up now and, I looked again at my own post about decorating ideas for small room with icy-blue painted wall. I also came across Alicia Paulson's website last night, and wow! Look at her studio!! It's exactly a look that I'm looking for! Fresh, cheerful, crafty, and well-organized.

I continued with reading Alicia's blog, and I felt like refreshed. It's nice when you wake up being inspired and looking forward to do something you'd been yearning for sometime, and knowing you have lovely ideas in hand!

Just look at some pictures of Alicia's studio here. My happy inspiration. Thanks Alicia! :-)

{rearrangement}

Hello I'm back :-) Oh, when was it the last entry? More than one month ago! Oh no. I can always say that I've been very busy at work these past few weeks..and I'm so glad end-of-year is finally there...that means holiday!! Yippi!! Some time off!!

The fact is, there have been some changes at work that I needed to re-adjust myself, and thought "probably i can work on it like this...or like that..." and the trial-and-error-and-tweaking went on. For weeks.

Somehow I managed to make some new prints for the member area, the Live Love Laugh series. I did have sometime off and sat there in front of my computer trying to continue the unfinished websets. But I ended up drawing some prints..it seems like I needed something to cheer myself up at that time :-D

And ok, one print is free for everyone to download here :-) Hope you like it. If you are member, there are 11 more prints in the member area.

[.800.x.600.]

What can I say… my internet connection at home is still not fixed – I could get connected for a few minutes then it didn’t work again. I disconnected and re-connected. But the same problem persisted. It’s been a few days and I am totally disappointed for not being able to transfer my new frames and boards. Ough!! And certainly I don’t want to work from an internet café – too much risk :-D

In the meantime you can get a few free 800x600 boards here on my blog. With and without frame, a small preview to the actual collection in the member area (you can imagine how stressful it is to wait for the connection when you have to upload more than 100 boards and 10+ blank, interchangeable frames! Yes, that’s what you will get in the member area :-))

I really hope this wireless 3G connection, which is supposed to be pretty ‘sophisticated’ will be fixed, VERY SOON. I’m so excited about having all these blank boards and frames in my collection, wishing you will all enjoy them too. My cousin is still taking a look at the possibility to change the connection into a steady broadband cable – but still no news either from the provider. Eew, seems like lately I spent my days keeping my fingers crossed on quite a few things… ;-)

Anyway, here they are the blank and framed boards, free for everyone to use. Click on the images to see these boards in their correct size.
